Dear Home Letters

Here you can read what soldiers in the field are saying about your letters and gifts to them...

Hello, I'm not sure if you remember me, but I received a few rosaries from you late last summer.  I'm stationed in the Middle East, but I'll be headed home in a couple of months.
I was wondering if you could do another favor for me.  Today at morning Mass, a gentleman who just lost his nephew in an auto accident was admiring my rosary (it's the one I took with me when I visited Abraham's house in Iraq) and asked where I had gotten it.  I told him about your company and said that I would see if I could get some more rosaries sent out here.  Everyone I gave rosaries to last summer was very appreciative.  Would you be able to send me some more so that I could distribute them among some of the folks at the chapel here?  I'd appreciate anything you'd be able to send.

Dear Maddam,
My name is SPC Ryan Nickerson and my mother Beverly
Nickerson had contacted you about getting the
rosearies. I would just like to say thank you very
much its VERY VERY appreciated, I really can't say how
much this is appreciated. My unit is leaving for Iraq
Friday and I'm going to be handing out the rest of the
rosaries. I also want to thank all the people for the
Dear Soldier cards. They made me realize again what it
is we are fighting for. So I just wanted to say
thanks a again and God bless.

Sincerely
SPC Nickerson

Dear Dede,
Thank you so much for the rosaries!  I received the package this evening when I came on shift.  I've already given three of them away (one to a troop who's going to be starting RCIA very soon; he was baptized Catholic but not raised Catholic).  He, as well as the other two, were very appreciative of everything that was in the package.  You provide a much-needed service.  Just last week, a few of us Knights of Columbus watched Fr. John Corapi's DVD on Mary and Islam.  Bottom line: if we hope to achieve peace here in the Middle East, it can only be accomplished through Mary's intercession.  What better way than through the rosary!

As I mentioned, I gave away my wearable rosary a few weeks ago.  It's nice to have a replacement.  But I really like the pacer rosary.  I say the rosary on the way to work, and quite often, I have to render salutes to people   I pass along the road.  Having the pacer will allow me to keep my place, as well as concealed (we have to be very careful about how we practice our faith [unfortunate, isn't it?]--we can't be too open about it).

I like all the additional material that came with the rosaries.  I'm a huge fan of Archbishop Sheen, and leafing through the book, I'm sure I'll be referring to it quite often.  The personal notes from people back home were also a nice touch.  I have a feeling that when I hand out these packages, they'll mean more to those people than I'll ever know.  I'm just glad I can provide that kind of support to others out here.

You may be hearing from me again very soon.  Please let me know how I can help in terms of costs of products or shipping and handling.

God bless,
Capt. Bill
